About The Gifted & Talented Group

We are a group of students from years 7-9 who are in a program called Gifted and Talented Education at South Coast Baptist College. The GATE program has been designed to allow us to apply our learning in a real world context.

Each year, we are given the opportunity to create projects that allow us to work in our areas of interest. In doing so, we develop a range of skills in a manner that would not be possible in a traditional classroom context. We develop 21st Century Skills such as collaboration, social skills, organisation, inquiry and a growth mindset that will help us thrive in the modern economy.
